From our (supreme) GOP hypocrisy section: in a recent letter-to-the-editor to the Carbon County News, the local far-right Carbon County Republican Women group’s writer du jour, writing the group’s nearly weekly letter to the News, said her husband was shocked that President Biden supposedly called Israel strongman Benjamin Netanyahu, who is in large part responsible for the current crisis in Gaza due to his far-right politics, an a**hole, and yet…

And yet the letter writer and her husband worship Donald trump, who has called people the worst names, is a grifter and serial cheater, has been found guilty not only of business fraud but of rape, mocks disabled people and veterans, supports murderous dictators, proudly claims to grab women’s genitals whenever he feels like it and more. Seems like you need a moral compass adjustment if you are offended by the appropriately used word “a**hole” and yet support trump. The writer also says she is proud of George Washington, but fails to mention he also is responsible for our democracy, and apparently is oblivious to the fact that all the Founding Fathers are spinning in their graves at the thought of trump’s repeated treasonous, criminal and anti-American activities. Finally, she supports Matt Rosendale, the far-right, Putin-loving Freedom (freedom for them, but not for you) and Sedition Caucus member, which tells you all you need to know.

In a more recent letter, a Carbon County local decries “globalism” and sings the virtues of state (and, we assume, even more local) control. Presumably, to avoid being hypocritical, the writer opposes proposed federal controls such as a national abortion ban. The writer must also be for states being able to have an environmental laws that are stronger than national laws and et cetera.

Previous post Steve Daines is no Mike Mansfield: Daines is more interested in promoting an extreme right-wing agenda and helping his rich friends than he is in helping Montana or America…
Next post It’s very clear, you either stand with America, freedom and democracy, or you stand with Putin. There is no middle ground.
