A ballot initiative is being pushed in Montana that could force local governments to curtail services like road maintenance, waste water treatment, law enforcement and ambulance service, among other services. The initiative could also increase calls for adoption of a sales tax in Montana, similar to Florida and California, states that have also limited property tax funding for local governments. Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen again demonstrates that he places his extreme right-wing agenda before acting in the interests of Montana’s citizens. More from Montana Free Press, here:
