Planning fail in Red Lodge: “Alpine Basin” subdivision coming online on edge of town, offering cookie-cutter homes and several negatives…
Share
So much for affordable housing. 60 cookie-cutter homes for sale for $739,000, or so, fronting on a very busy highway (on a section that is particularly treacherous in the winter) with no sidewalk connector into town. Reports say that most of the houses will be used for short-term rentals. On the site of a former gravel pit. Some nearby already busy streets going into downtown Red Lodge are about to get busier. What was Red Lodge thinking?
