The extremist Carbon County Republican Women group (and their men!) came out of the woodwork to inundate the Carbon County News with a couple of wacky and fact-void letters-to-the-editor, as well as with a report on their group’s “concerns”…

What really concerns our community is how the group’s concerns apparently don’t extend to personal freedom and privacy, the right of a woman not to be forced to bear a pregnancy, our democracy, the rule of law, separation of church and state and the right of every citizen to vote! Members of the group also don’t understand that the United States is both a constitutional republic AND a democracy (history and facts are not the group’s strong suit and, by the way, the word “God” is not in the Constitution). The group also has a problem with science, which they call “pseudo-science,” although they are confusing their conspiracy theories and wildly inaccurate claims with science. They also continue to refer to the domestic terrorists who violently tried to overthrow our government on January 6 as “rally” participants. Laughably, they talk about the national debt, when it was trump and a Republican Congress that exploded the debt with tax cuts for the super-wealthy. Finally, they indulge their obsession with immigrants and their fear of people of color, while it was their beloved extremist MAGA Republicans who, at the behest of the leader trump, scuttled immigration reform in Congress. Their hypocrisy apparently knows no bounds.

Next post Have no doubt, RFK Jr. is a Kennedy in name only. He is an off-kilter, anti-science conspiracy theorist who likes to hang out with fascists, and whose primary interest is in helping trump get elected. Nick Anderson gets it right here.
